accurate feitenonderzoek, onpartijdige verslaglegging
en gerichte stellingnamen vaak in samenwerking met
lokale mensenrechtenorganisaties. De publicaties
van Human Rights Watch wekken veel aandacht in
lokale en internationale media en bevorderen mensen
rechten en gerechtigheid overal ter wereld. Human
The nomination of Human Rights Watch is dedicated
to the defense of human rights worldwide. Pursuant to
the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and treaties
deriving from it. Human Rights Watch documents and
seeks to curb violations of human rights around the
world. It is known for its accurate fact-finding, impar
tial reporting and targeted advocacy often in partner
ship with local human rights groups. Its publications
generate extensive coverage in local and international
media with the aim of shaming and pressuring abusive
actors to respect human rights and promote justice
everywhere. Human Rights Watch raises many issues
in its reports, such as racial and gender discrimination,
torture, the use of children as soldiers and censorship
to cover up misconduct such as corruption. Through its
work and publications Human Rights Watch supports
all those who are oppressed and abused, joining their
